Panoramic Photos

You can create your own panoramic using any digital camera and a software called autostitch. You may download the program from their website here . Alright, now that you have the program, you'll need to have the photos. You have to take multiple shots from the exact same location for best effect. Take note that when you rotate the shots, you rotate the CAMERA on the axis, NOT rotate your body. To make it easier, mount the camera on a tripod and just rotate around. The photos have to overlap each other by at least 30% for the program to work effectively. When you have the photos you need, start the program. Go to Edit > Options and change the following settings. Output Size => Scale = 100% Matching Options => Scale = 100% Other Options => JPEG Quality = 100 These settings will ensure that your panoramic will turn out the best of quality. Start creating panoramic shoots and share with everyone!!!!

Tilt-shift effect with Photoshop CS 2

I am here to talk about tilt-shift effect with DSLR. Tilt shift lens allow you to change the angel from which you are viewing the subject. It is actually made up of two different words that serve different purposes. The first is Tilt, the rotation of the len relative to the image plane. It allows you to change the focal point of the photo. Second is Shift, movement of the lens parellel to the image plane. It changes the line of sight and thus, prevent lines from converging. Like taking photos of roads or tall buildings, notice the further ends tend to merge together? Shifting the lens can help to prevent so. For more information, visit wikipedia here. Step 1: You have to convince people that it is a miniture that they are seeing. Minitures models are always well lit, directional shadows, viewed from above and also depth. Look for a photograph with such qualities. Step 2: In photoshop, use [Quick Mask] mode to set the [Gradient] to [Reflected Gradient]. Set the default col...

Blog Layout and Screen Sizes

Just after breakfast with me wife, she need to drop by warehouse for a while as we have a new container shipment today. Have to see to it's unloading and getting the guy back to tow the container away after that. Cause the more days we sit on the container, the more we have to pay. So, I sit around in the corner with a old laptop, those square screen one and realised that my blog layout is a bit messed up..... Than I realised that this is due to the fact that the screen is square, with the resolution set at 1024x768. I am using both a wide screen and a 19in monitor at home, hence, I do not have any problem of my photos exceeding the borders. Hencefore, if you have problems looking at my photos, increase your screen resolution. I'll try to amend the photos to display in percentage instead of pixels. Enjoy JOHNNY NEO TODAY.. ..

Photo Sizes and about me.

Some people may have realised that photos I posted online have been scaled down from 400x300 to 320x240. This is because I no longer with photoshop. I am Lazy . I uses my server to automatically scale the photos. The next size is 640x480, which I find too big... Hence, I am sticking with 320x240. It save me alot of hassle. My photos are all hosted by Photobucket where I paid for a Professional account to better manage my photos. It allows FTP uploads, which I seldom use now... My blog is hosted wholly by myself at my coperate server which I am still granted the rights to use. (No longer a shareholder, I vanquished all my rights and such to me wife) I may consider changing to my our domain name... When I feel like I have too much money... As of now, www.johnnyneo.com/ is available to be registered.. Being grounded give me a lot of opportunity to clear the amount of work I have back logged. These are the things I vow to complete in my 14days of MC. Started on 23/02/2009 - Edit ...
